Product Catalogue Sheet
A fire prevention spray for heat insulation - plaster based on water and mixtures consisting of diluted dispersions of silicate fillers, mineral fibres and of other additive substances. It is without any asbestos and heavy metals.
Exterior: It is delivered without any surface finish, rough uneven granular surface with the structure of sprayed plaster and with the specific material characteristics. To rub down the surface containing Terfix P is impossible.
Specified for protection of bearing steel structures with the fire resistance for 15 to 180 minutes in accordance with the dimension table. (E - Technical Data).
The application can only be executed on clean, dry areas, without any rust, mechanical impurities and smear. The surface of protected steel structures must be covered with at least 1 layer of a fairly holding (grade 1 due to the gridd. test) basic anticorrosive coating of synthetic base, in compliance with the ČSN 03 8220 - 21 a ČSN 038250. As to our recommendation, the sort of coating shall be consulted with J.SEIDL & spol. WARNING - no oil paint, as for the wood no varnish, or any oil impregnation, or with any other greasy admixtures may be used!
Coating method: - spraying, spreading or setting on the clean surface free from smear and mechanical impurities basic and it must be a mechanically faultless.
The layer thickness : thickness shall be between 3 and 60 mm and is set by the requested fire resistance protection of the structure and by the way of application. With higher thickness of the spray the surface of the steel structure must be furnished with a zine-coated gauze insert of 20 - 30 mm in accordance with the Article 9 d ČSN 73 0821. The designer shall determine the sort of fixing based on the sort of the application of stress as for any structure.
Additional surface finish : for interior is not obligatory, however, it must be executed in any case where the permanent water influence, increased moisture or meteorological influences may not be excluded.
The option of the spray application shall be assessed separately, in case of the structure being dynamically under stress(vibration, etc). The spray as for the day of the Catalogue Sheet production is without any valid certificate of the VZT protection.

Note: index *) indicates elements, computed for extended application. All layer thickness above 40 mm must be reinforced with a steel lathing .
Regarding the composition and the character of the material, no guarantee shall be presumed as for the used raw materials and in particular the ten years of experience with the application of the spray for the course of the structure life.. However, the real life shall be estimated as for the longer point of view in accordance with the grade of the corrosivity of the environment and the spray exposition regarding a concrete structure.
Moisture resistance: As for any exterior application, TERFIX insulation plaster must be protected against all atmospheric influences by means of hydrophobisation. The outline of finishing must be solved together with the project - the plaster of certified Grade I or Q shall be applied only.
